I created this last fall with the intent of using it as an interactive projection. The blooms break apart when they are "touched" by someone in the video signal. Lines running in the background are implementations of Craig Reynold's boids and dodge around the blooms. Alas, I don't have an infrared camera and ran out of patience while hacking at the plastic around the filter in a cheap webcam (no real tools in nyc...), so using it on the floor or wall in an intuitive way isn't currently happening.
