While in El Valle de Anton, we visited the El Nispero Zoo and Botanical Garden. There were a variety of species, native to Panama, to see. We were able to feed monkeys, tapirs, a variety of birds as well as see a sloth, two jaguars and the famous golden tree frog. The zoo is known for taking in abandoned and injured animals. The two tapirs we saw formerly belonged to Manuel Noriega.
