Produced by film maker Gary Rhodes:
This is the story of 2 horses from the dreaded Echuca horse sales. Emma Haswell founder of Brightside Farm Sanctuary tells the story of Rosie and Deposer.
Emma has rescued thousands of horses during the inception of Brightside, over 40,000 race horses go to the meat works every year, this does not include kids ponies and everyday hacks, the figure would then be around 60,000. The meat in general goes to pet meat factories in Australia. Asia takes up quite a tonnage for human consumption.
Wouldn't it be nice if some of these wealthy owners of these horses could donate just a percentage to help save these horses, after all they have made them so very rich. The owner of Deposer was asked to make a comment, he refused. The connections of Black Caviar were also asked for a comment, as to date I have not received any reply.
