August 25th, today, marks the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s speech, “I have a dream”.

And ironically, August 28th in 1963 was also a Wednesday, like it is this year.

This was one of the most important speeches in the 20th century for the USA. I was 18 years old when Dr. King made that speech. And since I’m a Canadian, I did not hear the speech live. I was working at a summer job, so I could pay my University tuition fees.

However, I do remember all of the news broadcasts after the speech, and what a great and stirring speech it was, and what a profound effect it had on America.

If you have never heard the speech, then I highly recommend you listen to it. Simply go to Youtube and type in “I have a dream”, and you’ll get a number of ways to watch it.

My question to you today is; “Do you have a dream?”,
