The nameless planet. A never-ending wasteland dominated by bizarre trash formations, dust and rock. But this desert of junk and toxic waste is not lifeless at all. Out of the scattered remains of a long forgotten culture crawl the most curious metallic creatures.

OMEGA is a highly ambitious stop motion short movie project produced by Eva Franz and Andy Goralczyk together with a group of highly talented students at the university of arts and design in Karlsruhe, Germany. Sound design is done by Lorenz Schwarz.

Oh man! Andy, not again! When will you ever stop making us drool? Aside from the clayish nature or sculpture type stop motion films I've seen, this one is way off and way absurdly amazing! Really really can't wait to see the film itself. As expected of you and your current team. Congratulations in advance.

Oh man . . . that's just freakishly cool. Sheesh Andy, lay off on the brilliance for a while. Give the rest of us a chance to catch up.

Honestly, though - it looks fantastic. Gorgeous shots.

HD stop motion is beautiful. It's refreshing during an era of CG animated characters. Everything is so tactile.

  • Hmmm. Specific. Looks great (visuals), but it is not clear defined - is it digital or traditional? I know that this is probably Your target and You are using both techniques, but it is too strange for me.

    Looking forward,

I didn't find it "strange" so much as original, creative, and flat-out gorgeous. I think we should all strive to do something different from what everyone else is doing.

Simply wonderful. I got it from the visual and the title; didn't need the explanation. Lots of meaning and emotion portrayed on many levels.

And I thought the Creature was dark already... I didn't like the concept drawings so much, but now that I begin to understand this is something I definitely MUST see. Weird is good, strange is awesome, dark is cult, and I see you get across what you've learned through Blender. I wish I could do this in Blender already ;)
