Listen up, wieners! Winnipeg's favourite DJ's are back with a Halloween costume dance party you're sure to relish. It's the Hip Hop Halloweenie Roast - Saturday, October 31st at the Pyramid Cabaret!
"We've been throwing the hottest dance parties in town for nearly a decade," remarked Hunnicutt, "all other DJs and promoters have just been playing ketchup."
The boys have outdone themselves this time - not only will they be spinning the hottest tracks for you to shake your buns to, but they'll also be serving up all-you-can eat hot dogs and veggie dogs!
"After all these years, just a straight-ahead costume dance party doesn't cut the mustard with us," said Co-op, "we need something a bit more... toasty"
"That one sucked," interjected Hunnicutt.
"What one? What do you mean?" replied Co-op.
"That hot dog reference. Toasty? What do you mean, the buns?"
"I don't know what you're talking about, are we supposed to be making hot dog references?"
Hunnicutt rolled his eyes and added they've enlisted the help of Winnipeg's Hip Hop Wieners, Peanuts and Corn / Marathon of Dope recording artists John Smith and
Pip Skid to host the evening.
The hot dogs for the evening will be prepared and served by volunteers from Art City, an inner-city non profit that offers free art programming for kids and other community members. A portion of the proceeds from the evening will be donated to Art City.
As is the custom at their Halloween parties, the boys will be offering fantastic prizes for the best costumes at the jam. Although hot dog themed costumes are not mandatory, they will be given special consideration. Revelers will also be able to take home some prizes in the hot dog eating contest on stage.
Co-op summed it up thusly, "If you miss this party, you will be sour... kraut."
Hunnicutt added, "What."

Since this is another high-concept party and might be a bit confusing, we've provided the following FAQ to help you out:
Q. Do I have to come dressed as a hot dog? (Pun intended)
A. No, you can be whatever your little heart desires. Our judges love creativity, but may be impressed by a wiener-related costume.
Q. Don't get me wrong, I love hip hop, but the title leads me to believe there will be rap music being played all night. Is that the case?
A. Good question. Co-op and Hunnicutt are hip hop DJs, but as they usually do, will be blending their patented mix of rap, funk, disco, reggae, rock and dance music all night long.
Q. What does Art City have to do with this event?
A. Our good friends from Art City are doing the work preparing and handing out the hot dogs, and a portion of the proceeds from the event are being donated to Art City so they can continue their amazing work providing free art programming for inner-city youth and community members.
Q. I don't eat hot dogs or veggie dogs. I realize it's only $7/$10 to get in, but can I pay less if I promise to eat no hot dogs?
A. Our good friends from Art City are doing the work preparing and handing out the hot dogs, and a portion of the proceeds from the event are being donated to Art City so they can continue their amazing work providing free art programming for inner-city youth and community members.
Q. Why do you have Pip Skid and John Smith hosting the jam on the same night Pigeon John and Josh Martinez are in town? Isn't that kind of a b*tch move?
A. Cool it Cass, there's nothing we could do about that conflict.
