John Morse interview with David Wm Turner for the Wm Turner gallery in Atlanta, GA., September 28, 2009.

The thin plastic figures of Inside were first realized in 1990 at La Vie des Formes, Mark di Suvero’s studio workshop in Chalon-sur-Saône, France. In 1991, a helium-filled version was featured at Socrates Sculpture Park. A large outdoor mobile of the figures made from trash bags was included in the Kinetics & Projections exhibition at the San Francisco Contract Design Center in 1994. Inside is their first public display since then.
