I've known Roya since our days at our old marketing firm. We used to work together, hang out, and talk about how she was never getting married! Well, when Fabio proposed in 2012, she immediately contacted me and wanted to book me for their wedding. I was shocked, honored, and so flattered that she trusted me to capture her wedding. Roya has really high standards for everything, and I was pleasantly surprised that she felt that my work met her standards!
Their engagement was a little over a year long, and we all met over shabu shabu (several times!) to talk about her wedding and get the planning process completed. Fabio will be the first to tell you that Roya planned nearly 99.9% of the wedding. He just picked his groomsmen and showed up!
Roya and Fabio's wedding took place at The Turnip Rose (turniprose.com) - in fact, I was the one who told her about the venue, since my wife and I were married there in 2011. We had such a great experience and we loved everything our wedding, and we were so glad that Roya and Fabio were getting married there!
They had a picture perfect wedding, complete with super glam and elegant decor. It was a rather hot and humid day, but when the wedding started, we forgot all that, and we finally were about to witness the two of them vow to take each other for man and wife.
I wanted to gift them with a same day edit, so we decided to show them their surprise same day edit right after her bridesmaid and groomsman toast. You can say that they were a bit surprised. :)
My absolute favorite part of the wedding was when I was leaving - I pulled out of my parking space, and I ran into Roya's father. He came up to me and said that we did such a fantastic job, and he was so glad and impressed. Then he pinched me on the cheek and gave me a manly embrace. :)
Congrats to Roya and Fabio. You two deserve the best, and you are perfect for each other. Thank you for letting us be a part of your wedding!
Anyway, enough talk. Please check out the same day edit!
PS We'd like to give a HUGE shoutout to the crew at The Turnip Rose. They are some of the best in the industry - the food, the service, decor, planning, everything. If your'e getting married, check them out! Ask for Chrissy!
