I cheated by using an After Effects plugin called Trapcode Sound Keys that generates keyframes for you according to the pitch and amplitude of the audio!
Gripping and beautiful stuff. That car deserved a hot shower after all that. I particularly like this video as the 17th Feb is my birthday! Cant wait to get into After Effects someday.
Excellent Stuff!
Can I ask how you mounted the camera in the car as I've had to hold my camera with one hand and drive with the other...which can be just a tad dangerous, but I only do it when there one else on the road.
In the car I left the camera attached to the tripod and collapsed all of the legs, folded them up and jammed them down in the tight crack between the two bucket seats in my toyota tacoma.
You might not have that option depending on what type of vehicle you have, but I'm sure there must be some way to mount it securly.
If you get in an accident at least you will have footage of it! Only joking, don't get into an accident. :)
I was just over looking at your astro photo gallery. pbase.com/mataylor
There is some awesome shots there! I was wondering if you would mind if I used a couple of them in a video some time. I would give you full credit of course (I would also make it clear that we are two different people with the same name!)
If you would rather I didn't, that's cool! Either way, thanks for the kind words!
As long as photo credit is given I have no problem with you using the photos, just right click the ones you want to use & save to disk. You might want to click the "original" link below the photo first, that should give you the 800x600 version. Can't wait to see what you do with them!

good job , it remember me the live edits i've made when i was a VJ , i'm sure you could enjoy it ...
look for "resolume" ;)
how did you got the walking near the snow to be so steady? inverted tripod?
Really Nice...
Yes, I should have mentioned that I got the idea for using an inverted tripod from Charlie McCarthy's How To video found here:
vimeo.com/453536
yup, I used that idea in my "Make it interesting" video
I could edit a video forever, sometimes it's hard to stop fiddling with and just call it done!
PS I use Vegas 8.0b.
You will love After Effects when you do get into it.
