DCJCC patrons -- staff, campers gym users, arts program attendees, board members – and community leaders were asked to record a brief personal reflection on a concept or idea relating to the High Holy Days.
They gave anecdotes or thoughts prompted by a single word or image displayed on a block card. The words were ATONEMENT, SIN, RIGHTEOUSNESS, FORGIVENESS, REPENTANCE, AWE, and RENEWAL.
Through this collection of diverse voices, we hope to start a conversation about the meaning and modern-day relevance of the High Holy Days.
