First time (and I really mean FIRST) shooting video with Canon 7D after taking it out of the box. Not too bad for having absolutely no idea how this thing works yet. Also, Alec is far too kind for allowing such foolishness. Cut this sucker together in about 5 minutes using ProRes after converting with MPEG Streamclip. Native H.264 was just too slow for my tastes, even on a 2.8 MBP. Magic Bullet Looks and one or two Smoothcam filters (can you spot them?) All this was handheld and shot within 5 minutes.
Natural light from some desk lamps, but it was actually pretty dark in the room. I was pleasantly surprised with the low-light of the 24-105mm IS F4L and I love it as an everyday lens, and the IS is great for video, but I think in the future I'll want something a little faster for nighttime shots. Ordered a Sigma 30mm F1.4 yesterday, more tests will come.
Crummy camera audio until Magic Lantern comes out, auto gain was messing with the Sony condenser I had on top, but it works. Attempted minor noise correction in Soundtrack.
SPECS: Canon EOS 7D w/ Canon 24-105mm F4L.
≈50mm, ISO 1600, 1/50 shutter, F4
