Korean Travel Log – A Pop-Up Sketchbook takes Christiane Grauert’s travel drawings from a trip to South Korea in 2012 to a more dimensional level. Through different pop-up structures the original sketchbook pages are re-interpreted with a spatial component and have then been assembled into one long collapsable accordion fold which functions as a timeline of the trip.
The project was exhibited as part of the show “paper revisited: 6 American Artists” at the Gyodong Art Center in Jeonju, South Korea in 2013.
