On the suggestion of her advisor, Laura Sessions decided to devote the spring semester of her junior year to doing concentrated study about her community, including an internship at the largest children’s museum in the south. “It’s my favorite part of the day,” Laura says. “It’s changed the way I’ve thought about my future.” In a fun environment dedicated to catalyzing the curiosity of children, Laura is able to explore her own career curiosity, learning real-life skills and fulfilling a variety of new responsibilities along the way. By “trying on” this job, while she’s still a student, Laura is figuring out her strengths and gaining invaluable experience that will impress potential employers once she graduates.
