This broadcast about the "Design and Evaluation of Innovation Policy in Developing Countries" (DEIP) training course in El Salvador of 26-30 October 2009 features UNU-MERIT researcher Michiko IIzuka.

Focus of this course was to facilitate understanding on innovation policy to identify
and generate productive activities in the Salvadoran context. This requires understanding of innovation process in present-day global and local context through grasping the general perspectives on concept as well as the specific policy on particular themes such as education, intellectual property right and diaspora in relation to innovation. The course explored the relevant case studies to well reflect the Central American (and Salvadoran) realities.
