Quick handheld focus pull test of the new 7D with 50mm 1.8. Run 85mb clip through JES deinterlacer to get about 6mb. Retained most of the quality. Also first test with the uploader.

    Looks great Omar. I'm new to this but I thought the 7D footage wasn't interlaced. Can you fill me in on why you put it through the JES software, was it just to compress or some other reason? Thanks.

    Hi Trevor, you're right, not interlaced, used jes as a quickie for compression. However, I have just opened the original and 'saved as hd 720p' in QT10 and it's pretty close at 9mb while retaining (arguably) slightly better quality - with a higher bit rate.
