Purpose: To improve the active knee flexion and passive knee extension required for an efficient swing phase of the gait pattern.
1. Stand with heel of stance (non-exercise foot) foot in front of barrier.
2. Place toe of foot to be exercised behind barrier.
3. Lift foot bending knee and swing foot over barrrier being sure to clear the toe.
4. Allow gravity to straighten leg placing heel on the ground.
*Hold onto stationary object if balance is an issue.
