oh, gooooodie!! I went to the hills today and they are absolutely stunning. the light is incredible up there... I think you would have such fun making photos or even a film!

When I come up/down/whatever to visit we'll make a short film. Start brainstorming some stuff.

I'm on a Belle & Sebastian kick...

the brown hills can be depressing from afar, but quite an adventure to explore. It's really fun because different seasons = different terrain = the feeling of a new, but familiar place.

I found the flowers Monday on a walk to the library. They are wildflowers... it seems like spring is coming early this year!

iMovie :)

the nostalgia is real, for me anyway :) this is probably one of the more personal/intimate videos I have shared online... the footage is from a really great & special time in my life... and the flowers were picked recently, so it's sort of remembering the past while being content in the present and looking forward to more great times in the future... :)

I love iMovie. I have FinalCut but I don't really use it much. iMovie is much faster! I'm a speed-editor... don't like to wait around for clips to render... :)

The pair walking backwards and forwards was me and my friend Jedidiah... we were being directed by our friend Ben who was filming... I will ask him what the purpose of that was because I don't really know. I thought it was an interestng effect, too :)

hummingbirds are quite incredible... really hard to catch on film when you're hiking up a hill... but this super awesome spectacular filmmaker dude Ian Lucero made a really great hummingbird video that really does the teeny little bird justice: vimeo.com/165480

hah, I used to lovvvvvve WMM. My first vimeo clips were made with it... it was hard to transition to iMovie and I actually still sort of miss it. I'm a sucker for super simple editing programs :)

I was reluctant to buy a mac, but I'm so glad I did. A new camera is a good buy too, of course :)
