The lecture-performance "charcoal circles" explores energetic processes and the
relation between decomposition, sound and movement.
A piece of charcoal is moved over the ground, leaving black traces on the floor.
Through electrical contacts attached to the charcoal it serves at the same time
as a microphone: the sounds of drawing are conducted towards a loudspeaker,
to be written as well into time.
