CMTE ABSTRACT: In reality, most music therapists are entrepreneurs at heart, continually "selling" music therapy, and always dreaming up cutting-edge strategies for making music therapy services more readily accessible to more people. To encourage that spirit, three experienced music therapists - Barbara Reuer, Helen Dolas, and Cathy Knoll - will overview their innovative non-profit and for-profit music therapy programs, all of which are thriving after several decades. A dozen MT-BC's from around the country are invited to provide informative PechaKucha-style snapshots of model MT programs of all shapes and sizes. CMTE participants will be well equipped to begin the process of expanding established MT programs and creating new MT service delivery options.
These MT entrepreneurs are representing a growing crowd of innovative business owners around the country on a Pecha Kucha Panel in the "MT Incubator" CMTE on Nov 21 at the AMTA Conference in Jacksonville, FL: Megan Resig & Noa Elimelech - Rochester Music Therapy Services, Judith Pinkerton - Music4Life, Julie Guy & Angela Neve - Music Therapy Center of CA, Michelle M Muth - M3 Music Therapy, Jona Jeffcoat - Infinity Music Therapy Services, Tony Ollerton - Expressive Therapies Utah, Dana Bolton - Bolton Music Therapy, Nat Mullis - Key Changes Music Therapy Services, Linda M.
