Greenpeace activists - working together with members of the local community - finish construction of their first set of dams close to Teluk Meranti, in Riau province - Sumatra, Indonesia. These dams are intended to stop the peatland soil from draining which would release large amounts of greenhouse gases. Vast areas of peatland forest are being devastated in Indonesia contributing to climate change.
