Judge for yourself how much the 'influence' applies.
That's kind of depressing how they copied this insanely distinct visual style to the most minute detail.
Dont you already inspired yourselves and copied the comic book's style to make it into an animation?
They copied your animation to make it into a game.
So again, why not.
Games, movies, comics... they could all be produced from such a setting.

Hello vimeo community, I would
like to introduce you to my mathematical method.
I have already earned a lot of
money with this method. In my opinion it is
the best way to make money on the Internet.

It didn't win but it was probably the most talked about film of the night. Good work.
The story makes no sens though. I just read this was not the purpose of this montage, but I would like more depth into a trailer.
A mix of Gunnm / DBZ / Cowboy Bebop / Gorillaz just for the sake of mixing those atmospheres together.. I want to see more into the trailer because I sadly don't want to watch the movie any more.
That's the hard thing about internet: People have very little patience, very little. If you cannot entertain them during the first 30 sec, you won't in 10 minutes.
From my point of view, the lack of talking makes the story telling suffer a lot.
Also, I think the sound design is ok but not good enough for the kind of atmosphere you want to achieve.
But this animation is definitely awesome !

When i've read Dark Tower by Stephen King, I imagined a train like this.
And you really should be getting money from them Borderlands guys. 'Tis a bit more then just inspiriation.
I don't like suing, but in that case: you have earned more then just the respect for creating such a great world and look.
Love the shellshading + drawn/sketched textures.
Cool story visual and sound.
