Dr. Ajari Mui Baltrunas is a Vietnam veteran who remained in Southeast Asia after his tour of duty and, drawn to the teachings of Buddhism, became a Buddhist monk. He incorporates Buddhist practices into his work as a therapist in Evanston, Illinois, using meditation to help patients of all faiths deal with anxiety and to make sense of grief and suffering.
