Modern Cassandra: big data without big headaches

Many people still think of Cassandra as a "key value store" or a "map of maps." Cassandra is a fast moving project, with over three years of intense development since it was contributed to Apache, and these early descriptions no longer do justice to Cassandra.

This talk will cover new features in Cassandra 2.0 including lightweight transactions, virtual nodes, CQL (the Cassandra query language), as well as an updated look at performance.
