"Following the success of previous immersive performance Cart Macabre, Living Structures are now gearing up to make a new immersive, challenging, excting piece of theatre entitled 'Biosphere'.

'Biosphere' explores the mental and moral qualities distinctive to four individuals that live lost in a mundane and isolated entirely self-sustained reality. We follow their necessary daily survival habits, chores and rituals and see glimpses and fragments of cultures and worlds of a seemingly long forgotten past. Their actions pose questions of identity and culture presenting a darkly comic look at aspects of religion, rituals of habit and the maintenance of a culture apparently superseded by the need for survival and the lack of anybody else…

The characters finally find the courage to break their mental and physical confines. Together with the audience they embark onto a journey through the mystical northern forest that has grown around them like the thorns in the Sleeping Beauty. This is the territory of the reindeer and as they enter their lands they must become part of the instinctual collective consciousness of the herd… Audiences can wander amidst the trees encountering all manner of sights until they themselves eventually become part of the natural habitat."
