Made for tuong niem commemoration of the life of the Vietnamese dissident poet Nguyen Chi Thien (1939-2012). Presentations by Dinh Quang Anh Thai and Jean Libby are the setting for the journey to the USA by the poet in 1995. Released from prison in Vietnam after twenty-seven years in 1991, he was suffering from the effects of long confinement and torture. A Japanese American colonel in the US Air Force, Noboru Masuoka, aided his emigration to the United States into the care of the poet's brother, Nguyen Cong Gian of Virginia.
