After 4 long years since Project Out of Bounds (P.O.B.) released their debut self-titled album, the band is proud to announce the release of Love Tone on November 16, 2013. The CD can be purchased for the first time at Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach on the night of November 16, 2013. It will also be available to buy digitally on iTunes and other popular online music outlets on this date. Love Tone was produced by Tribal Seeds live sound engineer Wiley Miranda. It also features a track with the notorious Ivan Garzon of The Devastators. A single from Love Tone was first introduced as a download card passed out at The 2013 California Roots Festival. One of the largest reggae festivals in the country, The California Roots Festival has given much stardom to P.O.B. and many other reggae acts around California. The band has been featured on a stage or official after-party for the last 3 consecutive years. Many have seen band members escorted by their now famous robot wandering around various reggae festivals on the West Coast handing out promo items.
P.O.B. has been touring around the West Coast region since 2007. Coming from today’s largest Mecca for reggae music in the world, this San Diego reggae band decided to play a unique and edgy brand of reggae. In order for a reggae band in San Diego to get notoriety, they must be original, record, tour, and kick ass. P.O.B. has done all of these things well. They have blended roots, dancehall, and modern California styles of reggae with early 2000’s metal, 90’s hip-hop, prog-rock, and electronica.
Tour dates to promote Love Tone are planned for 2014. Fans should expect reviews around the release of Love Tone from various sources such as The Pier Magazine, San Diego Reader, and San Diego CityBeat. Love Tone is expected to get play on Pandora, Spotify Radio, iTunes Radio, and San Diego FM Stations such as 91X, FM949, and ROCK1053.
