Set in Donegal, Ireland's most northerly county, Gambling at Sea paints the portrait of a small crab fishing community situated along the coast of the Atlantic. Through close observation and interview, the film follows the life cycle of a crab -- from sea to plate -- to shed light on the nexus of individuals who have a hand, and stake, in the creature's journey.
Film completed as part of the Master of Arts (MA) Visual Anthropology program at Goldsmiths, University of London.
