Here you can see First Artist Tom Rogers and First Soloist Lei Zhao rehearsing an Act I pas de deux. Lei plays Clara, the heroine of the tale, and Tom is the Nutcracker Prince.

Following an epic battle against some oversized rats, Clara is safe but the Nutcracker Prince lies motionless on the floor. Just as the young girl thinks all is lost, he rises, transformed from an enchanted toy into a dashing young man.
