Students and teachers from all classes of History 100 gathered with members of the Peabody Museum staff for the first annual "Trebuchet Throwdown" on November 4. After learning about siege warfare and the basic physics behind the medieval weapon, teams had fun playing with miniature trebuchets, launching wooden balls, apples and potatoes at a target for points. Mrs. Mulligan's period five team won the battle on their final launch. While the Peabody Museum has done trebuchet demonstrations in the past, this was the first year where students competed against each other. (Video by Neil Evans)
