Tamsui is a suburban town near Taipei City. It's a huge tourist attraction and is always crowded during the weekends. The boats you see are ferries that travel between the both sides of Tamsui River.

Please let me know if this video appears too dark or too noisy on your monitor. Hope you enjoy it.

awesome stuff dude. What camera were you using?

It's an old Canon D30 with Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 lens. And a remote timer, of course.

When I was setting up my tripod, there was a guy wielding a lightsaber toy a few feet away from the camera, too bad I didn't get that.

alot to look at. wow.I am sorry to say I am not all that much of an HD fan because it took me three replays to let all the views in.There was a woman smoking a cigarette...great vid. Regular play would do away with any complaints I have about too much too fast.

That was awesome! I like how the ships go by. Maybe you should try the same when planes line up and land on the runway. What is the time difference between each shot you take?

    Thanks!

I did a shoot at a local airport a while ago, but it didn't came out very well, because there are only a few planes landing/taking off.

    The interval was 2 seconds.

A well thought out time-lapse is always great to watch!

i could watch this even longer than it plays. the backdrop is amazing- the contrast of the modern ferries with the old boats along the shore, awesome! the light on the people is warm and inviting, but the real gem is the people themselves. so much going on there. i love the garbage collector at the end.
very poetic piece, wether you intended it or not...

It's interesting making timelapses, because you don't know what you're going to get in the next few hours.
I didn't think much to decide shooting at this spot. It's all luck I guess.

    Thanks for the comments.
