Commissioned by: Buro Knapzak / Client: Freeband / Year: 2009
My role: design and direction

Freeband Communication and IIPIC share a vision of the future: a world in which information and communication technology render one's surroundings into a thinking and caring environment.

The results of the Freeband Communication research program should be visualized in a compelling film. I approached the material using infographics to explain the vast quantities of data. To create a relationship with the continuing technology the film starts with a minimalist introduction in a narrow color spectrum and gradually transitioned to an abundant, multicolored world.

Nice pictures, but does nobody care about their CONTENT ?

I think this vision of the future is both awful and absurd. Would you really like to be tracked 24/24 by your relatives and doctor ? And why not by your employer too, and by the local police station ?

And even if people liked this idea of the future, do you really think it could be available to the 9 billion people who will live on Earth by 2050 ?

Nice pictures, but detestable corporate propaganga, in my opinion !

The technique and art direction of this piece is awesome but, IMHO, the story lacks of rhythm nor energy, nevermind, excellent visuals man!.

  • Wait is the firefighters name Randy Mcloveit!? Otherwise I was going with this video till the plane decided to just drop from the sky. Still this vision ofthe future seems so, over informative. The seizure idea is nice but it might be better if she had a implant that meant she could wear what ever she wanted. Plus its nice to see (sarcasm) that even in the future we still haven't got our damn internet up to speed with other countries like South Corea.

Hmmm smells like an Orwellian future to me. That's creepy and you can keep it.
