My friend Patrick Barrett and I got the chance to shoot with the GoPro HD Hero video camera before it was released.

It is a small quarter of a pound video camera that shoots full 1080 30p video!

We tied it to a bunch of balloons and sent it up over San Luis Obispo.

I composed the music as well.

Im blown away by your Cinematography (sarcasm...I could've done better.) I mean honestly all you did was tie it to a balloon. But still...i couldn't tie a camera to balloons like that. So moral of the story is you are a better cinematographer than I.

Yea the problem we realized was that the string only goes about 1,000 feet, so when you send the balloons up the wind carries it more horizontally (lack of balloons) and once the string reaches its end the wind pushes the balloons and the tension causes the balloons to lose altitude, so we're gunna try putting it on a kite next!

when you buy the camera it comes with tons of accessories, one of which is a suction cup. We suction cupped it to my car and just drove it following Henry around.
