Capturing the Arizona monsoon season is one of the high lights of my year. This past year I drove nearly 8,000 miles around the beautiful state of Arizona trying to capture the monsoon season from lots of different vantage points. I have to say that this year has been the most successful year for myself and clearly reflects in this time lapse montage.
Some of my favorite parts about this video is the fact that I was able to capture nature in some ways I never have before. About halfway through you'll see me as close as you possibly could be to a rain shaft without being rained on. Just after that you'll see Sedona turn from daylight into darkness revealing stars and some meteors above. If you look even closer your see some lightning flashes from a storm in the flagstaff area.
Overall I'm really proud of this video because it shows the beauty of Arizona as well as the fascinating weather we enjoy in the summer here. In other words Arizona does have weather and people travel from all over the world to witness it.
