What you can see here is not only our Milky Way above the Adriatic Sea, but also its reflection in the Sea. I took the pictures on the Croatian island of Lastovo during an astronomy workshop. Thanks to the small amount of artificial light in and around this island, the starry sky over Lastovo is just stunning. However, you can also see the light dome of Bari, 180km away, at the other side of the Adriatic Sea (yellowish lights below the Milky Way)! - This video is based on more than 140 individual pictures, each taken with an 8mm fisheye lens and exposed for 1 minute at ISO 3200 (f/3.5).
