On Saturday 17th August, the Real Community team held a “Tackling Indigenous Health Day” in conjunction with the Canberra Raiders at the Canberra Raider’s Head Quarters. Students who are taking part in the Indigenous Youth Careers Pathways Program (IYCP) were invited to attend and all the kids had a great morning, full of fun activities such as dance workshops, art workshops, a tour of the Raider’s Head Quarters and some skills training with three of the Raiders: Edrick Lee, Tom Learoyd-Lahrs and Ken Nagas. They were all then given a healthy lunch and a Canberra Raider’s show bag and football, before they were taken to the stadium to watch firstly the Under 21’s and then the main match with the Canberra Raiders playing against the Bulldogs. With all the kids having a very memorable and fun day.
