This is a time lapse video painstakingly composed of 10,965 still shots taken over the course of 56 days during the summer of 2007. Using a point and shoot camera in a bathroom with a light constantly on, my artist friend, Pam DeLuco (pamdeluco.com), raised the silkworms and did all of the hard work (including downloading shots between intervalometer firings). I merely pieced all of the stills together (using After Effects) into a single video file for her and adding the counter along with some sound editing. But this was Pam's labor of love, seeing as how she had to constantly clean the silkworms' "home" and provide a near never-ending fresh supply of mulberry leaves.
