The song in this video is performed by some random guy in NYC who will probably never see this. I filmed awkwardly close to him with a zeiss 50mm 1.4, using only the 7D to capture sound. The rest of the footage is a mixture of the zeiss and a Nikon 24mm. It is all handheld and not color corrected. Enjoy.

Wow. Not color corrected in anyway? Even contrast, levels, etc? Completely raw "straight out of camera"? Is that true? Very impressive work regardless (just put a Mastercard logo on there and broadcast it).

Haha thanks...ok about the color correction, once i saw your comment, i realized that i wrote that description super quick and didn't think it all the way through....to be more precise it is almost all untouched, straight out the camera. I did crush the blacks on about 3 clips or so....the first clip with the title, the shot on the right...the shot with birds flying....and the last sunset shot....but everything else was untouched....sorry if that was misleading.

The best part about shooting with a digital SLR has got to be the depth of field you can achieve...just gorgeous! I'm probably more amazed however by the sound quality. Did you really get that with just the 7D sound capture?

Gorgeous. I have that same Zeiss Planar 50mm. Which mount/adapter are you using to get it on your 7D? Also, does the 7D do native slo-mo or are you doing it in post?
