A warm up film my friends and I started over the summer. Jobs interfered with all involved, leaving only this part finished. The plot: A young man finds a book capable of writing itself, but only so long as the pages don't run out. The book, it turns out, is the last remains of a man who wished for immortality, and in a sick twist of fate was confined to a book for all eternity, his words becoming immortal. In trying transfer his soul from the book back into an unsuspecting vessel, his plot is discovered, hence the en media res beginning as the book finds its pages being mercilessly ripped from it's spine. I 'scored', if you can call it that, the music, wrote, and directed this while Logan Pack, the man in black as well as Bryne Palmer, the Free Running expert, assisted me in it's creation. I took influences from Japanese cinema, primarily the aspect to aspect cuts in the middle as the static roars on, as well as the classroom scene. Anyway, this first half was alot of fun to make, and would have been much more epic if I had known more people interested in acting in it. Maybe.
