Persepolis is a Persian corner shop on Peckham high street. We were drawn to the multicoloured shop windows and after meeting Sally Butcher we became intrigued by the role of Persepolis in Peckham’s multicultural community. We decided to portray a day in the life of Sally, her shop and the role they both play within Peckham’s vibrant day-to-day life. Through the making of this film we gained a true insight into a Part of Persian culture, Peckham’s true personality and the importance of shops like Persepolis in a place like Peckham.
