As I said to Nick they were integrated and tracked to match the cameras moves.
merci mille encouragements pour la suite..
En fait comme je ne fais aucune synchro son je passe tout simplement toutes mes videos au ralenti, à 25fps au lieu de 30fps avec donc un léger slow motion.
Donc oui c'est diffusable en télé :)
Well the goal here was to leave the footage unsaturated and cold, and let thoose flares bring the warm colors up.
But it was kinda tricky because I firstly had to grade the footage, and above that bring the flares with their own color settings in screen mode.
The grading layers were about 4, with differents curves, hue/sat, color balance and a bit of magic bullet looks.
Above everything I have a grain video in overlay and a black solid for the borders.
Hope that helps ;)
But what's up with lighting? you use lighting or taking on location the sun:)
Really great stuff the layering in AE is really clean and love the grade.
could you give a run-down/description of the AE coloring? (levels? colorama? tritone?)
thanks so much!
keep up the awesome.
Je lui demanderai de chanter la prochaine fois pour vérifier :)
Well for this kind of videos I kinda don't like to be caught in storyboarding, but maybe I should and try to develop more of a story.
Basically I have one simple idea, and go for it :)
Your other videos are also awesome, look forward seeing more. Really dig your style!
As well, is this all hand held? Thanks and keep up the amazingly inspirational work!
The shutter was always set to 100 to avoid light flickering with the 30p footage (Europeans countries does exist Mr. Canon).
So I just played with aperture and iso usually set to 1.4 and around 400.
P.S. The video is as usual, freaking amazing. I love what you are able to do with just two actors and a small location, absolutely incredible.

(but it's just in Europe)
You've really inspired me to make short films, also your grading eye is very good.
You're very good.
Have a great day,
Tom
Very NICE!
Could U tell me something about the MUSIC?
THX
He also did the music on the two Ralph Lauren videos and on Fame.is.noise.
And he has some beautiful blue eyes (I'm not even gay).
But after seeing some tests I might have a try, I just don't wanna spend my time in menus before every shootings.
So I just played with aperture and iso usually set to 1.4 and around 400."
Why didn't you shoot with shutter speed of 50? It has least flickering when shooting under lights that are running with 50Hz electric current (most countries in the world).
Also, you should always shoot with ISO 160, 320, 640 or 1250, because those are ISO sweetspots and has least noise. 160 has around 4x less noise than 100.. 320 has less noise than 100 too.. etc..
Maybe you're right about the 50 speed, not sure, but you got much more motion blur at this speed.
About the ISO 160 I wasn't aware of that, again tests I've seen shows the more ISO the noisier.
Where did you see those values were less noisy?
cinema5d.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=3226&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=20
You can usually use 50 and 100 shutter without any problems, but 50 is closest to that "film look" motion blur and in most cases should have less flickering than 100. It really depends what kind of look you want.
Here's some info about the neutral picture style:
prolost.com/blog/2009/8/3/flatten-your-5d.html
With more neutral picture you will have more control when you do color correction etc in post.
For Lady.Velvet the photographer was working with flashes so I didn't had any light, just the lights of the room.
For Fame.is.noise everything is shoot in the street by a sunny day, without any reflectors.
;)
Best
