Welcome to the iconic Tree Section of Manhattan Beach, California 90266. The Manhattan Beach Tree Section is the place to be if you want to live close to the beach and still have a backyard for the kids to play in. A quite, family friendly neighborhood with beautiful tree-lined streets, the Manhattan Beach Tree Section has a quaint, small town feel. Located just west of Sepulveda and north of Manhattan Beach Blvd. with easy access to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and the 405 freeway, this neighborhood is a perfect blend of all that Manhattan Beach has to offer.

The streets of the Manhattan Beach Tree Section don't have any sidewalks so it's very common to see people walking their dogs or pushing strollers in the middle of the block. There are approximately 1582 Single Family Homes in the Manhattan Beach Tree Section. Most homes in the Manhattan Beach Tree Section have a traditional floor plan with the kitchen and entertaining area on the main floor and most of the bedrooms upstairs. Manhattan Beach Tree Section homes are beautifully landscaped which provide a unique backdrop so close to the ocean.

Popular architectural styles in the Manhattan Beach Tree Section are beach Classics, Cape Cods and Mediterranean's with the occasional Modern or Craftsman. Newer homes are around 2000-3500 sq. ft. Older original Manhattan Beach Tree Section Homes are 1200-1500 sq. ft. Typical lot sizes in the Manhattan Beach Tree Section are 40' wide and ranging from 110/120/140 deep. So why is this area called the Manhattan Beach Tree Section? While many people believe that it's because of the lush vegetation and mature trees here, it's actually called the Manhattan Beach Tree Section because of the street names (Oak, Pine, Elm, and so on). The City of Manhattan Beach cares about the natural landscape and passed a Tree Ordinance to protect the natural vegetation. My favorite part of the Manhattan Beach Tree Section the Greenbelt, otherwise known as the "Chip Path." This path runs right through the middle of the Manhattan Beach Tree Section and many people use it for exercising or to walk to downtown restaurants and shopping.

In the southwest corner of the Trees near the majestic Martyr's Catholic Church (known to locals as just Martyr's) you'll find some of the largest and most expensive homes in the Manhattan Beach Tree Section. The small town family feel, and great access to the beach -- that's what the Manhattan Beach Tree Section is all about.
