The goal with this animation was to understand the basic concept of how layers work in Flash. For this project, our class was allowed to make objects in Photoshop and then import them into Flash. The three layers we were working with are labelled "Foreground, Middleground, and Background", so a basic motion to understand this concept would be having different objects scrolling across the screen at different rates. For the background, I made a night sky with the stars on a separate layer. I used the helicopter for the middleground in which the propellors were separate objects, but I compressed them along with the main body of the helicopter all into one layer. For the foreground I made 6 different objects: two towers, two pillars, and two flags. I merged the flags with the towers to make it look more medieval, giving it a fantasy look. Once I had everything drawn, I edited the color balance to a sort of blue shade to give it an elegant feel.
