I'm unable to find anything about this particular monastery online, perhaps because I don't have an English translation of the name. In my notes, I have it written as the "da xiang guo si" monastery, which houses the thousand-arm guan yin pusa. Anyone able to find more information about this?

According to Missy, this statue was carved from a single tree (not constructed, mind you, but carved) -- a process that took fifty-seven years. Until recently, it was not visible to the public.
