Creating a model in Catalog Model Builder (no audio)
Catalog Model Builder is a visual editor for creating an integrated simulation, called a catalog model, of various engineering simulations. The catalog model was given its name because it enables the creation of a catalog-like simulation that can selectively exhibit different computational behaviors. In other words, a catalog model can embed multiple versions of implementation, one of which is activated based on a user's selection.
This video involves a catalog model for calculating geometry parameters of a door glass. The video shows how the catalog model is created from scratch. The demonstrator first creates an empty catalog model and then defines two different implementations. When implementing the first implementation, the demonstrator imports a simulation model that can generate geometry parameters for a truck door glass. The video shows how some of the parameters in the imported simulation model can be exposed as interface parameters of a catalog model using drag-and-drop. The second implementation is created by importing a simulation model that can generate geometry parameters for a sedan door glass. The video shows how parameters in the imported simulation model can be mapped to interface parameters.
