A quick test using an MTF B4 lens adapter and a SD Fujinon 18 x 7.6 BDERM lens with 2 x on a Sony FS700. Reminded me of working with an ENG rig again. Loved the zoom response and flexibility.
Was quite surprised at how well the whole combo worked considering it was an SD lens on the front. Edge to edge sharpness was pretty good and minimal CA present were just a couple of the things that I noticed.
Shot using PP4 profile with the onboard AVCHD codec set to 24-mbit and 1920 x 1080i. Shot mostly between F5.6 and F8.0 with some shots around F11. Most of the vegetation shots were at distances of three meters or greater. The only alteration to the video clips was to apply a curves plugin to adjust video levels to meet 1v P-P levels. Finally converted to 1280 x 720 25p for the Vimeo upload.
There are a lot of jobs I could use this MTF B4 adapter on. A very workable solution for some work. Price for performance not at all bad.
