This is fine for stills as you only need to capture a split second, but on video the movement of the lenses can be seen in the form of the jerking movements.
This is more pronounced on longer lens and less on wider lenses (focal lengths). Of course, IS is more useful in photography on the longer lens to minimise shake.
It's indeed because of the IS.
Better switch it off and get a good way of stabilizing the camera.
An L Bracket is the cheapest way.
Or get a small tripod and stabilize it with your body.
Zacuto has more expensive but better stabilizers too.
