The city Lelystad in The Netherlands has a brand new public library (Bibliotheek Lelystad). It's concept is the retail world. It's like a mall, where the subjects are shops with their own logos. Showroom dummies wear t-shirts to inform and inspire.
The library is hi-tech. The book return is done by simply placing it in a carousel. Several screens across the space aid the communication with the visitors.
Here is a sample of the instructional video for the book returning carousel and signage.
