Celeste Olds and I thought of this idea after hearing the Bright Eyes Christmas album. We shot the film on a Panasonic HVX200 with a Brevis 35mm adapter and a dolly made of PVC pipe and skateboard wheels. Alex Walsh did the lighting and my roommate, Michael Alm, stars in it.

Dark, but beautiful. I kept preparing myself to witness some shock-horror. Very dramatic. My heart was pounding...why?
