Such an insane amount of 3D and rotoscoping going on in here. Towards the end the perspective seems a little not right to me, but meh. This piece is wonderful nonetheless.

Just curious how many people you had working on this. Its very impressive, but seems like it was alot of work.

    this is great.

one question, was motion-control used for the live-action photography?

I Do think its awesome! ...seeing the original clip.

But seeing the breakdown makes me want some adjustments - namely perspective, tracking...and the green haze filter makes it kind of "not" colourgraded just dazed.

But then again It was Awesome :-)

On the actual day of the shoot we had lighting, makeup, camera operators, props and actors.
The ad was conceptualized and directed, as well as all the post & vfx work, produced by Matthew Stephen and myself.

The entire production was started and completed in under 4 months.

Motion-control was used for the live-action plates.

For the post work on this job we used the following: Maxon Cinema 4D Version 10, Adobe AfterEffects CS3, Photoshop CS3 and Synth Eyes Tracking Software. Thank you all for your positive comments!

i really love your works.. and questioning again.

all the camera motion and/or object motion you matched with the synth eyes tracker? or what is going on there??
  • Matthew Stephen 2 years ago
We tracked our movie shot selects and worked backwards to arrive at our camera moves that we eventually shot in studio. We then shot with a Milo motion control rig, that way we could set up multiple extras and physical props on the fly. We did a tracking pass using track points placed on the green screen. We then tracked our shots in synth eyes. That way we could place 3D objects into our shots.
