My friend Steve and I first met during Peace Corps training. We were walking from one event to another and he mentioned Phish. It started a two-year friendship that often revolved around talking about and listening to music. Steve had seen shows from '98 to '02. I had seen shows from '93-'97. It was perfect that we both returned to the U.S. only months before Coventry. We decided to make the trip together, and to add a little fun to it, I bought a cheap video camera. We thought we'd interview fans, get people's feelings about the final Phish festival. Then it started raining. For those who don't know, people were stuck in traffic for anywhere from several hours to nearly two days. At one point, the band had to "start turning people away." We parked in a farmer's field and walked the last ten or so miles. This is a document of our journey.
